An 18-year-old, a 19-year-old and a 17-year-old young offender have been charged with setting fire to the playground at the Mary Shadd Public School on May 6.
All three have been charged with arson.
The playground was set on fire sometime in the evening, but despite a quick response by firefighters it couldn't be saved,
The community — along with a number of area businesses — quickly contributed more than $80,000 to rebuild it.
At the time local school trustee Shaun Chen called the contributions, "truly overwhelming."
The names of the accused men are being withheld to protect the identity of the young offender.
