A fatal crash on the Lions Gate Bridge closed a busy thoroughfare to traffic Monday evening.
A 27-year-old man died when his motorcycle collided with a sport utility vehicle (SUV) heading northbound at around 5:50 p.m. on Monday, the Vancouver police said in a news release.
The man died at the scene and the SUV driver remained close by and cooperated with police, the department noted.
The deceased man's identity has not been revealed.
The bridge was closed for about five hours Monday evening, but it reopened at 10:50 p.m., Translink tweeted.
