Will The Palace Tweet Out Birth?
AP

Is a tweet good enough for a royal baby? The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William's first birth will not be announced exclusively through social media site Twitter, according to E! News.

"We haven't yet made any announcement about how we will announce the birth, but it will not be done exclusively on Twitter," a palace spokesperson told E!.

Rumours had been circulating that the Palace would announce the baby's birth initially on Twitter (just imagine the RT's on that one) along with a traditional note posted on the gates of Buckingham Palace, according to U.K.'s Now Daily.

What we do know is the couple's first child is expected to be born mid-July, with some reports narrowing down Kate's due date to July 13.

That gives them plenty of time to start thinking of a royal-worthy baby announcement strategy.
