Canadian indie rockers Tegan and Sara have taken a vow not to get married until everyone can.

The sisters made the pledge Tuesday as part of the NOH8 campaign spearheaded by photographers Adam Bouska and Jeff Parshley after California banned gay marriage.

Several shots of the ladies for the campaign were shared by NOH8 on Twitter.

The duo explained on their website why they are taking part in the campaign when gay marriage is legal in Canada

"Sara and I are huge fans of Adam Bouska and Jeff Parshley and what they have created with their incredibly moving, powerful and wide reaching NOH8 Campaign. We are thrilled to have been asked to be apart of it. Although we are Canadian, we have both vowed to remain unmarried in solidarity with the millions who don’t have the same rights as us around the world. We hope that our voices (and in this case our photos) help raise awareness and assist in bringing equality to the masses."

In a word: awesome.
