What’s nice about travelling in June is that there’s no shortage of choice. Whether it’s a far-flung excursion or a short camping trip, travelers can count of one thing: plenty of sunshine.

For those expecting photos of beaches and exotic resorts, fear not. The theme of this week’s travel photo round-up is about the sun and highlights the work of travelers, not tourists. They’re the kind of shots that feature the woods of Algonquin Park, the cityscapes of Brussels and Budapest and the stunning views of Hawaiian Islands.

Sure, all those sunny rays may make for great tanning conditions, but ask any photographer and they’ll tell you that there’s nothing better for a photo than natural sunlight.
