Father's Day falls on Sunday, June, 16 and marks the time of the year to celebrate bad dad jokes, the first shave and appreciate all the little things our fathers have taught us along the way.
But out in the animal world, fatherly duties include more than teaching kids about the birds and the bees. Sometimes, fatherhood defies traditional parenting roles. Take emperor penguins, for example, who keep eggs warm in-between their feet for two months, while females go off to find food. Under water, male seahorses actually give birth to their offspring.
