Stormy weather set to hit B.C.'s South Coast

A low pressure system spinning in the atmosphere will continue to sink south towards Vancouver, bringing a cool and showery Wednesday, along with the risk of thunderstorms, says CBC News Meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe.

While the heaviest of the rain will get pushed into the Central Interior Tuesday night, the West Coast will continue to experience rounds of showers over the next couple of days. Rainfall warnings are in place for Chilcotin, with the heaviest rain expected Tuesday night.

Lingering showers will be the story for Vancouver on Thursday and Friday, before the low pressure system finally gets kicked out for the weekend.
