With Kanye West's new album "Yeezus" about to drop, and Kanye's baby with girlfriend Kim Kardashian due not long after, the rapper is angrily denying tabloid charges that he cheated on Kim with Canadian model Leyla Ghobadi.
West's rep told TMZ that "This most recent attack on Kanye West and his family is totally without merit. It's a blatant attempt by a misguided individual who is clearly seeking publicity, and another in a series of malicious stories drummed up by non-credible 'news' sources. This is a sad attempt to hurt two people trying to live their lives."
The story began in the Star where 24-year-old Leyla Ghobadi claimed the pair first met after a July, 2012 concert in Atlantic City and that the rapper invited her up to his hotel room.
"He told me…he wanted to ‘hook up,’ but I was concerned that he was seeing Kim Kardashian. He told me that [his relationship with Kim] was for publicity and nothing serious," Ghobadi said to the Star, adding that it was just to "increase his fanbase."
Ghobadi also claimed that they slept together again in October, after Kardashian was already pregnant and that West has continued trying to contact her as recently as last week.
Ghobadi claims she turned him down, saying "I would never do that to someone," and explaining her decision to reveal the alleged affair by saying "This is going to destroy the Kardashian family. It’s bad. It’s really bad. It’s just embarrassing. But if I were Kim and about to have a baby, I would want to know."
