The Royal Ascot 2013 culminated into a victory for Queen Elizabeth II, when her horse Estimate won Thursday's Royal Ascot Gold Cup.

The centuries-old horse racing event is steeped in many traditions including the raising of the Queen's Royal Standard, a horse-drawn carriage for the Queen and her royal entourage and of course, a very strict dress code which includes spectacular hats.

And really, who is paying attention to the horse races besides a few rich (and royal) Brits when there is so much hat-spotting to be had?

So without further ado, we present the boldest and craziest hats at the Royal Ascot 2013.
