Canada falls to No. 15 in world rugby rankings as Japan moves up the ladder

TORONTO - Canada has dropped two place to No. 15 in the International Rugby Board world rankings following its Pacific Nations Cup loss to Japan.

Japan and PNC champion Tonga each moved up one spot — to No. 14 and 13, respectively.

Scotland returned to the top 10 thanks to its 30-29 win over Italy, jumping two places to No. 9. Argentina and Tonga fell one spot each, settling in at No. 9 and 10, respectively.

Italy remained at No. 12. Romania moved one place to No. 17, dropping the U.S. to No. 18.

New Zealand stays No. 1 after its 24-9 win over France, ahead of South Africa, Australia, England and France.
