Deadmau5, Kat Von D Split Via Twitter, Facebook Amid Cheating Allegations

We Were On A Break: Deadmau5, Kat Von D Split Via Twitter, Facebook

Deadmau5 and his fiance Kat Von D are no more after the noted tattoo artist delivered the news via Twitter earlier this morning.

She added two additional tweets: one with a link to a photo of a heart tattooed on the palm of one's hand and the other of a rose.

When one fan replied that she shouldn't take deadmau5 back, Von D replied tersely. "Never," she tweeted.

Around 9:30 a.m. EST this morning, Deadmau5 posted a note on Facebook regarding the split, reminiscent of Ross on the sitcom "Friends" explaining "we were on a break" to Rachel.

"Kat and I split in November and I moved back home to Toronto," Deadmau5 wrote. "During that time, while we were broken up, I did have relations with another woman. Following that, Kat and I reconciled and I acknowledged being intimate with another person while we were estranged.

"We did move past those issues and I proposed to Kat in mid- December," Deadmau5 continued. "At the end of June, it was clear that the relationship was not working and we mutually ended the engagement. I was not, at any point, unfaithful to Kat during our time together. I don't wish to go tit for tat with these kinds of pronouncements and don't expect to comment further, but I do believe that those who have expressed concern deserve a more complete understanding of what transpired."

E! reports a representative for the musician was quick to point out a tweet from Deadmau5 yesterday was not in connection to the split with her but with his record label Ultra Records.

Deadmau5 will perform in Toronto on Aug. 4 as part of the Veld Music Festival before playing in Philadelphia on Aug. 31. He released his last studio effort "Album Title Goes Here" in 2012.
