If Princess Diana were alive, we think she would definitely approve of daughter-in-law Kate Middleton's maternity style.

The late Princess of Wales, who would have turned 52 years old on July 1, was a style icon in her own right thanks to her extravagant wedding gown, her flirty (and revealing) dresses and her Brit-Meets-Hollywood showstoppers.

And while the Duchess of Cambridge has turned heads with animal-print dresses, knee-baring tartan coats and hats for days, Middleton's pregnancy outfits are quite different from the maternity wear Lady Di wore when she was pregnant with Prince William and Prince Harry.

Where the "People's Princess" wore loose, comfy dresses and coats which hid her bump, Kate embraced her baby bump and showed off her blooming body in form-fitting frocks and empire-waist dresses.

Let's take a walk down memory lane, to when Princess Di was pregnant and wore incredibly cute and chic maternity clothes.
