A man and a woman have been charged with terrorism-related offences in B.C.
John Stewart Nuttal and Amanda Marie Korody were named by the RCMP during a press conference Tuesday. The pair have been charged with three offences including attempting to place an explosive device at the B.C. Legislature in Victoria on Canada Day. RCMP said that the two had "Al-Qaeda ideologies".

Pictures displayed by the RCMP showed several explosive devices built from what appeared to be pressure cookers. Similar devices were used in the Boston Marathon bombings in April.

The Mounties said both Nuttall and Korody are Canadian-born citizens. Police said Nuttal is 38 and Korody is between 28 and 29 years of age.
The pair live in Surrey, B.C., the RCMP said.
