Calgary Transit announced train services will be back to normal on Wednesday, just under two weeks after train tracks and Calgary's downtown core faced devastating floodwaters.

A 100-metre-stretch of track that was damaged by flooding had to be replaced and before and after photos show the remarkable change over a short time.

A ceremonial CTrain driven by Mayor Naheed Nenshi will mark the return to service on Wednesday.

"An enormous amount of work has been completed by Calgary Transit crews over a short period of time," said Calgary Transit.
