Chloe Moretz Barely Recognizable On InStyle Magazine Cover (PHOTO)

Chloe Moretz is only 16 years old but you wouldn't know it judging by the cover of the latest InStyle UK magazine.

The "Kick-Ass 2" star covers the entertainment lifestyle mag's August issue wearing a strapless Christian Dior houndstooth frock with flirty pink embellishments on the skirt. But the dress isn't the problem; the up-and-coming star is made up to look years older in lots of purple eyeshadow and a straightened hairstyle which looks as if it needs another trip or two to the salon. (What were the style editors thinking??)

Perhaps the "Carrie" actress wanted to look more mature than her age; the red carpet stalwart comes across as a young adult in her interview. After being asked about her mom and dad's breakup and her mom's cancer diagnosis, Chloe had surprising insight:

“It made me realize, along with everything that happened with my dad, that your parents aren’t these godly figures," said Moretz. "They’re not chosen by the heavens. They’re humans. Their bodies can fail and they can die at any moment. They make mistakes. They cry. They fight. It definitely, from a young age, put everything into perspective for me.”

Wise words for a Hollywood teenager!

Not only does the bottle-blond star have a mature stance on life, it seems as if Julianne Moore's co-star has never gone through an awkward stage (unlike the rest of us.)

The outspoken child star has a wardrobe that most adults would envy; from her "Gossip Girl"-inspired casual day looks to her playful designer red carpet frocks, the "Hugo" cutie has a unique style to call her own.

But if we were Chloe's publicist, we would be making an angry call to InStyle UK STAT!

Chloe's super stylish:
