With essentially a month of rain descending on parts of Toronto in one hour Monday afternoon, people in the region were hit with an unprecedented deluge, even out-raining 1945's infamous Hurricane Hazel. The downpour caused extensive flooding in subway stations, a marine unit to rescue passengers on a GO Train not to mention extensive power outages and major traffic arteries looking more like ponds.
And when craziness like this happens, musicians are just like us -- in that they take to twitter en masse. Here then are some of the reactions to Monday's rain and flood by everyone from Austra to Sass Jordan to Ron Sexsmith who, in typical forlorn form, worried whether or not his "house was still there."
