RED DEER, Alta. - Air Canada has announced it will offer flights between Red Deer and Calgary starting in September.
There will be three flights a day starting on Sept. 3.
The flights will be operated by Air Georgian under the Air Canada Express brand and will use 18-seater Beechcraft airplanes.
Red Deer Airport CEO R.J. Steenstra says these flights will have a big impact for central Alberta business or leisure travellers.
Steenstra says they had been working on this deal with Air Canada for several months now.
He also says travellers will enjoy free parking and a 10-minute process to get through the Red Deer airport.
