A hailstorm hit Edmonton on Wednesday evening after Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the region.
Golf ball sized hail was reported as many took to social media to share photos.
Environment Canada warned strong wind gusts and hail could damage property and cause injuries. Local downpours could also cause flash floods, they said in a statement.

Thunderstorm warnings and watches covered much of Central Alberta including including Cold Lake, Devon, Fort McMurray and Pigeon Lake.
