Music lovers will come together in Calgary on August 15 to become a part of ongoing efforts to raise funds for Alberta flood relief.

A star-studded concert at Calgary's McMahon Stadium, which will be hosted by comedian Brent Butt, is set to include Jann Arden, Randy Bachman, Tom Cochrane, Matthew Good, Colin James, Loverboy, Corb Lund, Johnny Reid, The Sadies, The Sheepdogs, and Ian Tyson.

“It’s just going to be a rockin’ fun, great way to bring awareness and raise funds for the community,” said Arden at an announcement on Monday, adding that members of the music community were thinking about such an event before the flood was even over, the Calgary Sun reports.

The lineup is expected to grow and event organizers are pursuing donations and sponsorships in addition to ticket sales revenue.

"I am very pleased to see members of the music community donating their time and resources to raise money for flood relief," said Calgary mayor Naheed Nenshi in a statement.

Ticketmaster is waiving all service fees normally associated with ticket sales, which begin on Friday.

Ticket prices for the event start at $30.

Ticket proceeds will go to The Calgary Foundation's Flood Rebuilding Fund which supports long-term community rebuilding efforts in areas including High River, Canmore and nearby First Nation reserves that were some of the hardest hit by the Alberta flood.
