Chris Reynolds, PayPal Customer, Gets $92 Quadrillion In Error

For an instant, Chris Reynolds was the richest man on Earth -- by a long shot.

The 56-year-old Pennsylvania man had reportedly been checking his PayPal account earlier this week, and found the gaudiest of balances staring back at him -- $92,233,720,368,547,800. And then it was gone.

"At first I thought that I owed quadrillions," Reynolds told the Philadelphia Daily News. "It was quite a big surprise."

Moments later, the windfall had vanished -- evidently an error on PayPal's part that was fixed in a hurry.

That didn't stop him from spreading the good cheer, no matter how fleeting. According to Daily Finance, Reynolds made a donation to the Democratic campaign at his local city council.
