'Top Chef Canada' winner Matthew Stowe picked up a one-day gig at B.C.'s legislature, serving a "made in B.C." meal for hungry MLAs on Wednesday.

Stowe, a Surrey-raised product development chef at Vancouver-based Cactus Club Cafe, partnered with Brian Vickstrom, head of the legislative dining room, to create a three-course menu that included local ingredients like Saanich carrots and Okanagan cherries.

The result? "Fabulous," according to Esquimalt Royal Roads MLA Maurine Karagianis.
