Raptors use amnesty clause on Linas Kleiza

The Toronto Raptors have waived forward Linas Kleiza and designated him as the team's amnesty player under rules of the NBA's collective bargaining agreement, the team announced Tuesday.

Kleiza, 28, had one year remaining in a four-year deal he signed with Toronto as a free agent in 2010. He was set to make $4.6 million in 2013-14.

In 20 appearances last season, the Lithuanian averaged 7.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.3 fouls per game.

“We thank Linas for his contributions as a Raptor and wish him all the best,” said Raptors president and general manager Masai Ujiri.
