Forget Kate Middleton, we're in love with the other Cate. (Blanchett, that is!)
The chic Aussie pushed the style envelope yet again in an unusual monochrome Balenciaga outfit at the premiere of Woody Allen's new film "Blue Jasmine" in New York on Monday.
Looking absolutely regal, the 44-year-old Armani fragrance spokesperson made sure all eyes were on her in a loose peach shirt-cape with capped sleeves and matching feathered skirt with white flowers adorning a sheer outer layer. (Can you picture the Duchess of Cambridge, who favours A-line dresses and simple prints, wearing this glorious confection? We wish she would be so daring to wear this outfit!)
"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" star is one of the very few actresses who could pull off such a memorable look; the other, of course, being fashion rule-breaker Tilda Swinton, who is famous for her quirky outfits and out-of-this-world hair.
But we have to love the "Elizabeth" actress' dedication to looking elegant while trying to set herself apart from other Hollywood starlets (we are still in love with her groundbreaking lilac Givenchy she wore to the 83rd Annual Oscars), as she demonstrated when she wore a sexy LBD with exaggerated shoulders and flattering chest panels while making her way into the offices of David Letterman, also on Monday.
She truly is Cate the Great!
