Mattingly Romanin, Canadian Baseball Player, Hit By Skydiver (VIDEO)

Shortstop Hit By Errant Skydiver

Baseball players are pretty used to flying objects. After all, catching fly balls is a big part of the game. But Canadian shortstop Mattingly Romanin wasn't expecting an errant skydiver.

The aerial stunt was part of pre-game festivities at a match between the Hannibal Cavemen and the Terre Haute Rex in the Prospect League.

The hit looked bad but Romanin apparently was uninjured and played the entire game. The Burlington, Ont. native even joked about it on Twitter.

"Right before they jumped out of the plane, they had one of their crew members come out and tell us, if it looks like they are gonna come right at you and hit you, don't move it's okay, they are gonna try and do their best I guess to avoid you," Romanin told local TV station KHQA.

After the incident we've got a feeling skydivers won't be invited back to games anytime soon.
