Delta Police say the teen, who can't be identified, under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was arrested on July 17.
He is now charged with six counts of sexual assault, but the case is still open and a tip line has been set up to gather more details.
Investigators say the arrest came almost one month after the public was urged to come forward with any information about a series of troubling assaults in the Vancouver suburb.
In all cases, the suspect would run up behind women and either grab their buttocks or bear-hug them around their waist and breasts.
The attacker would then flee before the startled victim had a chance to react.
