Montreal cyclist hit by car in early morning collision

A cyclist is recovering in the hospital after she was hit by a car early this morning in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough.

According to Montreal police Const. Daniel Lacoursière, witnesses saw the woman heading in the wrong direction on Queen Mary Road.

At about 1 a.m. witnesses saw the 22-year-old woman go through a red light, and collide with a car at the intersection with Victoria Street.

The woman suffered injuries to her head and upper body, but police said her injuries are not life-threatening.
