Seven people have died in a collision between a semi-trailer truck and another vehicle six kilometres southeast of Lloydminster, Sask.
RCMP said they are still trying to determine the identities of the people who died and contact their families. They did not say if there were any survivors.
Police initially reported that one passenger had died in the crash. In a subsequent release Saturday afternoon they said they were originally told at 4:20 a.m. CST that a truck had rolled over on Township Road 490, just south of the city. When they arrived they realized another vehicle was also involved.
The roads around the area were blocked off all morning.
Police said they intend to hold a news conference in Regina with more details late Saturday afternoon.
