Quebec physiotherapist suspended after sexual misconduct conviction

A former Quebec physiotherapist has received a seven-year suspension from the order of physiotherapists after being convicted for sexual misconduct.

Former physiotherapist Stephen Cross resigned in December after he was convicted with three counts of sexual misconduct.

The president of Quebec’s Professional Order of Physiotherapists, Lucie Forget, called the sentence “very severe”.

The ruling means that if Cross ever decides to apply to return to the order, he will have to wait seven more years until he can be approved.
