Police have identified the 18-year-old man who died after he was reportedly run over by a float at Toronto's Caribbean Carnival last night as Rueshad Grant.

The man was riding on a float at the festival's parade when he was run run over by the vehicle just after 9 p.m.
Police told the Toronto Star that Grant did not fall off the float, as previously thought, instead, he was standing beside it when he drawn under the vehicle.
An autopsy is scheduled for today.
People attending the event and affected by the tragedy took to Twitter to share their sadness about Grant's sudden death.
