Animals stolen from Nanaimo 4-H barn

Nanaimo police are investigating the theft of barnyard animals from a 4-H club, after the second time thieves struck this summer.

"All the rabbits were stolen. We had some ducks stolen and we're just going through the rest of the stuff," said Eddy Barnett with the 4-H club on Sunday.

The first time the barn was hit by thieves, a mother rabbit and her four newborn bunnies were taken.

Barn staff are concerned the animals won't be cared for properly.
