Dx3: Why Canada Won't Suck at E-Commerce Much Longer (VIDEO)

WATCH: Canada Won't Suck at E-Commerce Much Longer

Matt Bertulli says Canada's e-commerce should be better than it is. The good news is that it won't stay this way for long.

The co-founder and CEO of Demac Media, says online shopping and consumption is definitely ready to take off in Canada.

"We are an interesting country for e-commerce," said Bertulli. "We have this ridiculous digital penetration and adoption thing going for us, like everybody here is connected. But we suck at shopping online."

However, he says there is a vibrant community churning out tons of innovation in the field. Given that Canada has been able to watch and learn from the mistakes made from many e-commerce mainstays in the United States, Canadians have been able to catch up.

Once the public migrates to shopping online, a move he says is coming very quickly, the Canadian e-commerce market will "explode."
