The Huffington Post Presents: The Main Ingredients Challenge

For the next five weeks, four parents will put their best healthy recipes up for judgement against Christine Cushing’s own creations. Each week, both sides will be assigned a theme and challenged to come up with their best recipe using our list of 12 healthy ingredients. The healthier the result, the better -- and each week, you get to add their recipes to your personal collection! This page will be updated weekly with each successive challenge, so get ready to sample The Main Ingredients!

Week One

The Main Ingredients: Introduction by Christine Cushing

Week Two

Quick Meal: Pan Roasted Fillet of Cod with Roasted Broccoli and Cheddar Cheese

Quick Meal: Yogurt-Marinated Trout

Week Three

Dessert: Peach and Berry Crisp

Dessert: Berry Pancake Delight

Week Four

The No-Cook Meal: Mixed leafy greens with chopped almonds and creamy avocado dressing

The No-Cook Meal: Vegetable Carpaccio with salmon over arugula salad

Week Five (Finale!)

Smorgasbord Meal: Lettuce cups with baked trout and cucumber yogurt drizzle, Broccoli and carrot stir-fry, Berries and Yogurt

Smorgasbord Meal: Fish Tortilla with Red Pepper Hummus and Broccoli au-gratin, Avocado Salad, and Yogurt Berries Parfait
