Alberta Fish and Wildlife have captured a grizzly bear that was prowling for food near the town of Okotoks.

The young bear had been spotted feeding near the Southern Alberta town, prompting officials to set traps for the animal so he could be removed and transported away safely.

Residents are asked to keep garbage and recycling covered, or even indoors, as well as to clean up spilled bird seed and ripened fruits falling from trees.

If you spot a bear you can report it by calling 1-800-642-3800.
