Montreal police ask for public's help in attempted murder case

Montreal police are looking for the public's help in an attempted murder investigation in the St-Léonard neighbourhood.

Juan Carlos Sandoval, 32, is accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend and a man early Friday morning.

Police are setting up at a command post at 5 p.m. today near St-Zotique and Chailly streets.

Officers are looking for information about the suspect's whereabouts before the 4:30 a.m. incident.

Sandoval’s bail hearing, originally scheduled for Monday morning, has been delayed.

Both of the alleged victims are in hospital recovering from their injuries, which police say are serious but not life-threatening.
