Westerman, 28, entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the New York Jets in 2009 following his college career at Rutgers. He spent three years with the Jets (2009-11) before playing for Arizona and Indianapolis in 2012.

The six-foot-three, 255-pound Westerman has registered 53 tackles and 5.5 sacks in his NFL career. His younger brother, Jabar, is a defensive lineman with the CFL's B.C. Lions.
