Sandra Oh Is Leaving 'Grey's Anatomy,' So Here's A Tribute To Cristina Yang

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Dr. Cristina Yang, forever "our person."

Sandra Oh announced Tuesday that she's leaving 'Grey's Anatomy' at the end of next season. Creator Shonda Rhimes has said the show will give the "brilliant" Oh the exit she deserves.

We're proud to say that we can claim the multi-talented actress, who has won a Golden Globe and been nominated for multiple Emmys for her portrayal of Dr. Yang, as our own. Oh grew up in Ottawa.

Cristina Yang was the antidote to every whiny or static female character we had to deal with on a serial drama: she was honest, sensible and overly logical, but she could also stuff multiple hot dogs into her mouth and sing cheesy ballads while performing autopsies. She dealt with trauma, stress and serious injury the way we assume people actually do: through a mixture of breakdowns and yelling.

So we present to you just a few of the reasons we'll be sad to see her go.
