2 dead in separate overnight stabbings

Two people are dead after separate stabbings in Surrey and Vancouver overnight.

At about 1 a.m. PT, police found a 17-year-old man suffering from serious stab wounds at the Ohukuya Japanese Restaurant on Kingsway, near Slocan Street.

The man, whose name has not been released, was taken to hospital where he later died.

Police say no arrests have been made and there are currently no suspects.

Investigators from the Vancouver Police Major Crime Section are on scene. Police say they’re working to figure out what led up to the stabbing.

2 stabbed in Surrey

Two men were found with stab wounds just after 1 a.m. PT at 100th Avenue and 154th Street in Surrey.

One was taken to hospital in critical condition while the other man was pronounced dead.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is looking into the incident.

No names have been released.
