Normally, an aging '80s band covering an au courant act would be a recipe for disaster. But Tears For Fears take on Arcade Fire's "Ready To Start" is good enough to get us, well, shouting from the rooftops. (Or, y'know, the Internet equivalent.)

Tears For Fears singer Roland Orzabal and Arcade Fire's Win Butler both tend to sing to the stadium cheap seats, so the vocal maintains its epic bent. But Tears For Fears stay true to their synthpop roots while adding unexpected (but incredibly welcome) orchestral and drumn'n'bass flourishes to differentiate their version from the indie rock original.

So enjoy, and then check out our gallery of the all-time best cover songs.
