Taylor Swift Performs 'Closer' With Tegan And Sara, Says Their Album Is 'One Of My Favourites Of All Time

WATCH: Tegan And Sara Sing With Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift invited a couple special guests to her sold-out show Tuesday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles: Tegan and Sara.

Swift brought the duo out to perform their single 'Closer' which appeared to please all three involved judging from their reactions.

"I just wanted to tell you guys because the reason I brought why I brought you a special guest performer tonight is because I love playing for you," Swift said. "Now I really, really love this artist's music. I think that this album is one of my favorites of all time. If you ever had your heart broken you need to have their album. And um, I just feel like all of us in here need to get closer, I just want us to get closer you know. So I brought Tegan and Sara to sing their song 'Closer' for you."

The video then shows the Quin twins emerging from beneath the stage before starting the song off with Swift dancing to their left before she begins singing in the chorus and then taking over one of the verses before Tegan and Sara join in again for the chorus.

During the song's bridge, Swift encourages the 15,000 in attendance to jump and they oblige. She finishes the song with her arm resting on Tegan's shoulder before all three leave the stage.

Tegan and Sara continue their North American tour tonight in Denver, a trek which seems them on the road until Sept. 28 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. They're also on the short list for this year's Polaris Music Prize but it appears touring commitments means they won't be performing at the Sept. 23 ceremony in Toronto.
