Hundreds of shows on the tube and there's never anything good on.

Well, one hotel chain hopes to do some good by removing some available programming in the name of victimized kids.

Scandinavia's largest hotel chain, Nordic Choice, has decided to drop pay-per-view porno from all of its establishments. The move comes after Petter Stordalen, Nordic Choice's owner, signed up with a Unicef campaign to help 1.2 million children who are sexually exploited or fall victim to trafficking.

The chain has 171 properties scattered across Scandinavia and Malta and according to Travel Industry Today, some locations will air "high-end contemporary video art" on demand on each of the hotel room's TVs.

So far, the on-demand art channel's been a success at the company's flagship property, the Thief in Olso.

"No one has asked for their porn back!" said, Siri Løining Kolderup who is in charge of communications at the Thief. "I think they appreciate that we've taken movie-on-demand to the next level, exchanging bad taste porn for high-end contemporary video art. We hope and predict porn will not be a part of the next generation of in-room entertainment in any hotel, anywhere," she told the Guardian.

While staff members say it's a step in the right direction, some critics say it's not enough and suggest the hotel chain bans access to internet porn. Representatives with the hotel chain say they're not the gate keepers of the internet and don't believe it's a viable solution, notes UPI.com
