Pedestrian without vital signs after west-end collision

Paramedics say an adult woman is without vital signs after being struck by a pickup truck on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred at Humber College Boulevard and Windwood Drive.

Paramedics were called to the scene at 3:42 p.m., at which point they were told a woman had suffered a head injury in the collision.

A Toronto EMS spokesperson told CBC News that the woman was without vital signs when paramedics arrived at the scene.

Toronto police say the woman was being rushed to hospital on an emergency run.

Local road closures are currently in effect, police say.
