Man shot in chest in Brampton, Ont.

A man was rushed to hospital in Brampton, Ont., after he was shot in the chest on Monday afternoon.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m., Peel Regional Police say they were called to an address on Garden Gate Circle, near McLaughlin Road and Ray Lawson Boulevard.

Police say they received an initial call about two people fighting. A second call indicated that shots had been fired.

The victim was conscious and breathing when found at the scene.

He was transported to Brampton Civic Hospital. Paramedics say the victim is a 30-year-old man.
