Cate Blanchett is not one to shy away from taking risks on the red carpet but we think the beautiful Aussie may have gotten just a bit in over her head.
The 44-year-old attended the premiere of her upcoming film "Blue Jasmine" over the weekend at the 2013 Deauville American Film Festival in Deauville, France, wearing a tent-shaped Christian Dior gown which hid her fabulous figure. Why so shy, Cate?
Perhaps the "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" star was trying to make us forget the figure-hugging Christopher Kane cobweb gown which she wore just days before. Mission accomplished!
The curious part about the dress is that it looks fantastic floating down a runway but when stationary, it looks too poofy.
Fortunately, the colourful embroidery, which features flowers and other psychedelic prints, glams up the look (not that the Armani spokesperson needs any help in that department).
We just hope that the actress, who in our humble opinion wore the best Oscar dress ever, gives us a glimpse of what's underneath the gown.
