There's no shortage of cover versions of Daft Punk's "Get Lucky", but that doesn't mean there isn't room for Vancouver Rabbi Dan Moskovitz's Rosh Hashanah version.
The senior rabbi at Temple Sholom in Vancouver, Moscovitz can be seen in a YouTube video along with other members of his congregation, singing, dancing and indulging in the traditional Jewish New Year's meal, all to the popular Daft Punk tune.
"It is the legend of the rabbi," the group sings, "Who is trying to determine/ What we should be learning/ From this New Year sermon."
Clearly an attempt to make the temple attractive to a younger Jewish population, the video strays into surprising territory: at one point an apple is pitched across the table into the rabbi's waiting baseball mitt, then honey is poured straight from the bottle down a woman's throat.
All to a chorus of "We're eatin' apples and honey/ We're eatin' apples and honey."
We're sure this happens all the time.
