We've come along way since 2010, when DJ Times magazine's fan-voted America's Best DJ competition took a credibility hit with the inclusion of Jersey Shore star Pauly D among the nominees.

This year, it would be hard to argue with L.A.-based Kaskade taking the title for a second time -- the ten-year veteran also won in 2011-- or who he beat. Mad Decent boss and twerk-presario Diplo snagged second place while dubstep don Skrillex came in third. The top ten was rounded out by, in order, Bassnectar, Porter Robinson, Steve Aoki, A-Trak, Wolfgang Gartner, Z-Trip and DJ Vice.

It's a nice treat for Kaskade, who also released his new Ultra album "Atmosphere" this week, and a big ascension from his placement at number 30 on DJ Mag's last Top 100 DJs poll in 2012.

"Words can't do justice to how completely grateful I am to receive this honor for a second time," said Kaskade in a release. "I am constantly in awe of the love, encouragement and energy I receive from my fan-base, which has continued to inspire and motivate me throughout my career. I feel connected to them in such a real way and their support is something that keeps rocking my world. I couldn't do this without them."
