Canadiens practise in front of hundreds of fans

The NHL season has yet to begin, but the Montreal Canadiens were reminded Thursday just how passionate their fans are.

Over 800 loyal Habs supporters attended a training camp scrimmage between Team Red and Team White. Some diehards even skipped classes to watch the team prepare for the preseason.

The buzz at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard, Que., was a new experience for 2013 first-round draft pick Michael McCarron.

"It's so special," said McCarron, who was selected 25th overall. "I mean, it just shows how loyal they are, how much love they have for us and it makes me and the team feel that much more special."
