More heat records may be broken in B.C. today

A high-pressure system remains in place Thursday, bringing more sun and summer warmth.

B.C. may even break a few more records in the afternoon, says CBC meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe.

At least a couple dozen records were broken across the province Wednesday, with afternoon highs in the 30s. Many sites will see 30 C again over the next couple of days.

Late night and morning fog will be something to watch for Friday and Saturday.

The summer ridge finally gets pushed out Saturday night as a couple of Pacific low-pressure systems approach. Sunday may see a mix of sun and cloud before the real wet and cool weather gets going Monday and continues through much of next week.
