Dorval teen pleads guilty to fatally shooting brother

The Dorval teenager charged with the January shooting death of his 16-year-old brother has pleaded guilty to criminal negligence causing death using a firearm, armed robbery and shoplifting.

However, a charge of manslaughter was dropped in the plea bargain.

The guilty plea means the 13-year-old will not stand trial. The case will be back in youth court next week for sentencing arguments.

The teenaged boy was 12 when he shot his brother in the head.

He could face a maximum of three years in custody under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
