Porter Airlines Outage: Flights Cancelled Over 'System-Wide' Issues

Network Outage Cripples Porter Airlines
CP

Over forty Porter Airlines flights were cancelled Tuesday evening after “system-wide network outages” halted the regional carrier’s operations.

According to a brief statement on the company’s website, the outage affected Porter’s call centre, reservation system and flight planning.

Porter flagged the problem in a tweet shortly before 6 p.m, claiming other airlines were also been affected.

“This is a situation with all Porter flights so there will be Porter delays in Newark, Washington, etc.,” company spokesperson Brad Cicero told CTV News.

A number of Wednesday flights within Ontario have also been cancelled. Passengers are being asked to check flyporter.com for updates.

Flights at Pearson International Airport have not been affected by IT issues, confirmed a spokesperson.

A complete list of flights cancelled or delayed can be found here.
