Police say a suspicious man was observed in the bushes early Monday morning, at the corner of New Brighton Drive and New Brighton Manor in southeast Calgary.

When he left the area a witness located a camera that had been placed in the bushes, allegedly used to video record students at the bus stop.

The Calgary Police Service located a man in a vehicle at the scene and took him into custody. Police say the man left his two-year-old daughter at home while setting up and operating the video camera.

A 29-year-old has been charged with voyeurism and unable or unwilling to provide the child with adequate care. The name of the suspect has not been released to protect the identity of the child.

He's scheduled to appear in court on October 22. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
